Copyright Expose’

I know that business competition is pretty stiff nowadays especially if you are talking about graphic outsourcing. Anyway healthy competition is very much acceptable no problem with that! But last month, march of 2008 while doing my work. I found a certain website that 98% copied all our website content and images. The shocking part is they put this text “based entirely on M—F-”at the footer of there site.

When I first saw there site I was really intense because from all of our services page, the text and images are exactly the same in there site. Yes, they have the nerve to copy Lazymask website. Don’t they know about copyrights? The funny thing is, they are based in Shenzhen, China but then when you read throughly in the prices page “With our production facilities based in the Philippines, where costs are low, and in combination with our Scandinavian management, we can assure low prices and high quality.”

Of course Lazymask did some actions about the issue, recently they deleted some images but still the content are the same. With what was happening I came to conclude that Lazymask has become the no. 1 leading clipping path and image masking specialist. I’d still be discreet about that website but please delete our content and images. Have some effort to create your own content, I know it’s not easy but it’s worth it if you try.

If others are copying your content, if you are not intending to change your content. The recent duplicate content penalty by Google works great in finding the most linked and old original contents in the internet.

But, if you change your content, then it is a matter of panic. Once their page gets cached, their content will become original and will get benefited by piggybacking on your content. The worst thing is, you can’t revert back to the contents you had earlier.

I don’t know why people doesn’t recognize that Search Engine Marketing is not about fooling the Search Engines. It’s all about building online reputation.

I love your efforts. Keep up the good work.
